1. The ideal installation position of a ventilator is a close to the ridge as possible. When locating, lay aside the base flashing on the roof and make the upward inclined edge of base flashing insert the gap below the metal flashing of the ridge 10cm or so.

2. Cutting the opening :

Taking the inner hole of base flashing as mould, draw up the outline of the opening, then cut the opening with cutting machine, repair and burnish the cutting edge. Cut the thermal cotton according to the shape with and staff thermal cotton and aluminum foil between the steel plate and thermal cotton.

3. Paste the waterproofing cement tape and apply waterproofing silicon glue :

Paste the waterproofing tape on the conjunction of the base flashing and the roof cover plate on the ridge. Paste the waterproofing glue tape on the top of wave crest with complete sides and apply the waterproofing silicon glue between foam and color steel plate then tear the paper skin of the glue tape.

4. Fix the base flashing :

 Fix the base flashing on the roof with at least 10 fixing screws or rivets (provided by users)

5. Install the vari pitch :

 Lay the vari pitch on the base flashing and revolve the movable part of vari pitch. Meanwhile adjust the whole position of the vari pitch and base flashing to make the top of the vari pitch horizontal.

Adjust the angle at 90° in the same direction by gradienter. After adjustment, draw the mark on the up-down movable parts of the vari pitch and between the vari pitch and base flashing with color pen.

6. Fixing the vari pitch :

 Fix the vari pitch onto the base flashing with at least 4 fixing screws.

Fix together two up-down movable parts of the vari pitch with 4 pieces of metal clip slice and 8 aluminum rivets. During operations, please make sure level the former mark.

7. Applying glue in inner parts :

 Apply the waterproofing silicon glue evenly with fingers on the up-down movable parts of the vari pitch conjunction parts between the vari pitch and the base flashing and around all screws. Mind! Taking the circle center as the criterion, at the position of 60° angle across the ridge, do not apply any glue in the conjunction place between the vari pitch and the base flashing. This aims at making condensate water of air dripping along the inner wall and exhaust out of the roof.

8. Fix the turbine heads of the vari pitch :

 Get for supporting arms of the turbine head stuck in the reserved holes of the vari pitch. Make sure the reserved holes of supporting arms accord with four reserved parts of the vari pitch (may use screwdriver to level) then fix the turbine head into vari pitch with four screws.

9. Check and adjust:

Check all screws or rivets whether firmed or not. Make sure the turbine head revolving smoothly, Sometimes turbine head is extruded to deform in transportation or installation process, you may make slight adjustment with hands. Lastly apply waterproofing silicon around the roam and base flashing.
